History
Our Beginnings
Established in 1960, Carlinville Country Club was designed by golf course architect Larry Packard and built as a private, 9-hole facility to serve the Carlinville community. Located on Highway 4 South, the course was thoughtfully laid out as a 3,164-yard, par-36 regulation course, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience that has stood the test of time.
Growth and Investment
Over the decades, the club has grown into a full-service recreational destination with strong membership and expanded amenities, including tennis and pickleball courts and a clubhouse featuring the Keg Room for social gatherings. As of 2024, membership is at capacity, reflecting the club’s continued relevance and appeal. Recent improvements include a major irrigation system upgrade launched in 2024, supported by local banking partners, and new board leadership under President Greg Whitler, elected in January 2024, positioning the club for a strong future.
